Information about the Hotel

A wide valley offers a view over the meadows, forests and scattered farmsteads in the distance. The family-run Waldhaus Ohlenbach is already inspiring due to its idyllic location in the Sauerland mountains, not far from the Kahler Asten near Winterberg. The generously proportioned rooms and suites, which average 35 square metres in size, are decorated in warm colours and create a feeling of comfort and "coming home". All rooms have Treca luxury beds and an individual sleeping menu, as well as separate WCs, double sinks and bidets.

The newly designed "Waldzauber & Spa" wellness area promises relaxation. As the water in the 12 x 6-metre indoor swimming pool and in the recently created panorama pool is heated to a pleasant 32 °C. Making diving in a real pleasure. Anyone who swims towards the horizon in the panorama pool where the water becomes one with the sky and the mountains, can unwind, switch off and let their thoughts wander on a relaxing journey. The spectacular view of the Sauerland mountains is also particularly impressive in the two saunas in the log cabin, which are at different temperatures. In the hotel's wellness area, the trained therapists always have the well-being of those seeking relaxation in mind, be it during treatments in the hamam or with an Ayurvedic head massage.

Anyone who wants to get active, can explore the certified hiking trails around the Waldhaus Ohlenbach and be taken to selected starting points by the in-house hiking taxi. The well described and signposted hiking trails from there back to the hotel offer a special outdoor experience.

To start the day, the team lovingly prepares a breakfast buffet every morning, which is unique in its creativity, choice and quality. More exceptional culinary delights await you afterwards at the Waldhaus Ohlenbach. Whether it's trout and cattle from Schmallenberg, quails from Ohlenbach or game from local hunts, the culinary artists have dedicated themselves to the local cuisine. They surprise their guests with different regional fresh cuisine creations every day and serve them bread and rolls from their own bakery, which they bake with great care based on old family recipes. The exceptional culinary delights are accompanied by fine wines from the wine cellar, which is richly stocked with more than 450 wines from various origins – for pure indulgence on a feel-good holiday.
